Yes. He set me high upon that Rock. After years of trying to climb it myself,and falling and giving up, He set me there, in Christ, and I will exalt Him with you today.
For those days...like today.... when things seem to. be ever shifting, moving, and changing your pic and words reassure me. They remind me that I don't have to be the rock for all to lean on. The Lord is the rock for us all to lean on. Thanks for posting. :)
I immediately thought of the chorus (refrain)of this hymn---one of many songs sung in evening church services at my dad's churches. I started singing the chorus. But I had to look up the lyrics for the verses.
The title is (I think) "On Solid Rock."
Wonderful illustration and verse, jo! I can't imagine living without the rock of Jesus Christ!
Lyrics My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
Refrain: On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace; In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil. Refrain
His oath, His covenant, His blood Support me in the whelming flood; When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay. Refrain
When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh, may I then in Him be found; Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne.

I am reading Faber's words at right, and thinking how true:
"'Tis not all we owe to Jesus;
It is something more than all."
