PEACE OF THE LORD ON MY HEART!
Even though I've shared this photo and Word more than once over this stretch of time as a blogger, today it grabbed me again! In May, '84, during a very dangerous stretch of my life, I was very sad and very worried re: me and my kids. A process of divorce then. Laying in the Psalms was a truly stretch of time in those days. The Lord had laid a bunch of it on me, and this really said the right Word at the right time.
Within several months later, I was thoroughly filled with peace!! I had come back up from Oklahoma to Omaha in September, '84. Saw friends. Suddenly, the Lord had healed my heart in Omaha at 2 churches. Even though I knew my heart was a challenge, but just sleeping and doing what I could do, even though I got so stressful. However, I was suddenly in churches with friends -- October, '84 and February, '85 -- and, not understanding what was going on at those churches at those times --- at both places healing was taking place and I had no idea that I was going to be healed. I was 39 then. Well, amazingly, the Lord had things dropped onto me. So, my heart was healed then ... and He'd also done it at a church in summer of '74 when I was 28. I'm very blessed re: His healing situations for me and millions and billions historically, of course. I'm a "blessing the Lord" person, strongly!
I would have been in Heaven 31 or 41 years ago, or even when I was a kid with serious stuff connected at me strongly. Now, at 70, it's not my heart issue, but other things. I keep hearing I'll be in Heaven soon, and day-by-day, for several months now, when praying and worshiping I keep hearing it. I don't mind being in Heaven, b/c I'd see a lot of people who amazingly had come to the Lord... I've been involved with many people in serious non-God situations and they came to the Lord and, in the not-distant future, were in Heaven. Anyhow, I'm trusting the Lord for the consequences.
OH, and as a little kid, I was taught to be a fighter to protect me and my sisters, and I was an angry kid way back then. I'm very grateful that the Lord officially broke into my life when I was 20. I'd known OF Him even when I was very young, but hadn't known if or when it would be possible or important to turn to Him. I was heading to suicide a couple of years, especially when I was 18 and 19, and because I was very sinful in Seattle. I'm very grateful that the Lord dropped people into my life and I knew what I should do. April 15, 1966, at 6:30 in the evening at someone's home in Tacoma that was sharing very straightful at me, I knew this was the right thing to do. What a blessing!!
NOW, talking too much at you, etc. But this verse, and used on the photo taken Dave and I were in Uganda as missionaries, this has always grabbed my heart and my attention.

OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS WHAT COUNTS!
This is what I count on, moment-by-moment, day-by-day, and heart-to- heart.
I have truly focused on the Lord's gift to us of those words re: Glory, Honor, and Peace.
He's truly kind, and truly reaching out and touching to us consistently.
Facing Christmas time needs us to be consistently focusing on Him and that's what truly counts.
Bless you and yours and be filled with love through our Heavenly Father.
[Oh, and, BTW, I've loved this zoo!]

THE GOD OF PEACE...
This was taken by me to my feet when I was at First Responders at a murder site several months ago. When standing right by a tree, I was told that my feet were where the murdered man had hit the ground right there. We were praying for the nearby homes...none were connected to this murder, but his body hit their yard...and some people came by who had thought who the man was. Anyhow, the Word of God grabbed me that time when I saw the photo.
About 15 years ago, my husband, Dave, had written a song, There is No Counsel/Underneath Your Feet. After Proverbs 21:30, Psalm 2:2-4, II Corinthians 10:4, then this verse of Romans 16:20 was used:
The God of peace, living through us, is crushing him,
underneath our feet...
The God of peace is crushing Satan underneath our feet.
In the dust and broken laying underneath our feet,
nevermore to rise again from underneath our feet....
The God of peace is crushing Satan underneath our feet.
Underneath our feet:
underneath, underneath, underneath our feet!
We've played it many times in the past years and people sang and sang and rejoiced!! Years ago Dave's favorite portion of the Bible is Romans 16:20. I agree with that wonderfulness!! Every day I think of it.
BTW, trusting the Lord is all I can ever do, and focusing on Him from now to Heaven and then, when I'm there, I'll certainly continually focus on Him forever and ever. Nothing else counts! I can hardly wait!!

GLORY, HONOR, & PEACE!
THAT'S WHAT I RELY UPON...
AND I'M TRYING TO OBEY HIM...
MOMENT-BY-MOMENT,
DAY-BY-DAY,
FOREVER AND EVER.
I KNOW OF MY SIGNIFICANT SINFULNESS IN THE PAST,
AND REMEMBER TOO MANY OTHER THINGS
IN THESE YEARS THAT I'VE DONE WRONG,
EVEN THOUGH THE LORD FORGAVE ME.
BTW, I'M CONSISTENTLY BEING
A WORSHIPER, A SERVER, A PROTECTOR.

CRUSHING SATAN...
MANY OF US HAVE DONE THIS AROUND AND ABOUT OUR WORLD AND IN OUR CITIES. IN THIS CASE, OUR GROUP CALLED FIRST RESPONDERS, FREQUENTLY ATTENDED A DAY OR SO AFTER MURDERS HAVE OCCURRED. WHEN WE ARRIVE WE PRAY FOR THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND THE NEARBY YARDS AND THE STREETS. THE SATANIC PORTIONS IN QUITE A NUMBER OF PLACES HAVE BEEN REMOVED, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.
WHEN THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN, IT WAS MY FEET, BUT WHICH I DIDN'T KNOW IMMEDIATELY, IT WAS EXACTLY WHERE THE MURDERED MAN'S BODY HAD HIT THIS YARD AND I WAS TOLD, BY THE POLICE, IT WAS RIGHT WHERE I WAS STANDING.
SATAN WILL NOT BE IN HEAVEN. HALLELUJAH!!!

PEACE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH THE NILE RIVER.
I LOVED BEING THERE...
'91, '94-'96, '99, '03-'04
BITS AND PIECES OF TIME.
THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN LATE JANUARY, '04.
THE PHOTO ADDED WAS WHEN DAVE AND I WERE
VERY FIRST TAKEN TO THAT RIVER AFTER
HAVING PRAYED AND PREACHED AT A CHURCH
IN THIS TOWN AND A FEW OF THE PEOPLE
TOOK US THERE.
A BLESSING!
THE CHURCH WAS A GRADE SCHOOL AND IT WAS FILLED
WITH MANY CHAIRS PILED AGAINST THE WALL
AND MANY PIECES BREAKING OFF THE CEILING.
WE WERE SAFE AND THEY WERE WONDERFUL.

HIS PEACE AND REST
WHEN I WAS FOUR, HE USED THIS DOG TO KEEP ME FROM RUNNING OUTSIDE OF THE YARD AREA.
THE LORD PROTECTED ME THEN, 65 YEARS AGO.
I HAD BEEN A FIGHTER AND PROTECTOR
FOR PEOPLE, SINCE I WAS A KID, AND FILLED
WITH SIGNIFICANT SINFULNESS.
MANY YEARS LATER, AFTER I HAD COME TO HIM WHEN I WAS 20, WHEN SIGNIFICANT SITUATIONS HAD BROUGHT ME BACK TO BEING A FAMILY "FIGHTER" OR PROTECTOR, THE LORD DROPPED THIS VERSE ON ME
VERY, VERY STRONGLY.
IT WAS OCTOBER, 1970.
I KNEW THEN, AND KNOW NOW, THAT HE IS THE ONE WHO WILL AND CAN FIGHT FOR ME AND ANY OF MINE, AND FOR ALL OF US WHO TURN TO HIM TO TRUST HIM,
MUST POUR MORE AND MORE PEACE AND REST.
ALL I CAN DO, MOMENT-BY-MOMENT,

THE GIFT OF GOD... THROUGH D.T.N.
THE LORD OFTEN USED MY HUSBAND AS A GIFT TO POUR IN THE PEACE OF MIND AND HEART!
DEALING WITH ANY CONFUSION OR INTENSITY, DAVE WOULD POUR ENCOURAGEMENT ON ME.
A YEAR OR SO AFTER OUR MARRIAGE, WHEN HE HAD BECOME THE STEP-DAD WITH TEENS, HE PUT THIS ON THE REFRIGERATOR AS HE WAS HEADING TO WORK.

HE MULTIPLIED BLESSINGS TO US...
"WATERHOLE" KIDS.
EXPECT THEY ARE ALL SIGNIFICANTLY
"WATERHOLE" PARENTS NOW.
DIFFERENT WORLD FOR THEM.
DRINKING WATER AT HOUSES WAS NOT
THE SAFEST THING WE COULD DO.
THEY MADE IT, THOUGH.

HE KNOWS MY HEART! THAT'S A BLESSING!
TO THE TERRORISM THAT HIT OUR NATION.
MY LORD'S SPIRITUAL HEALING WAS
ALSO SIGNIFICANT.

PEACE, BE STILL...
LORD JESUS SAID IT TO THE SEA WAY BACK THEN,
AND SAYS IT TO ME,
EVERY DAY, EVERY MOMENT,
AND THAT'S WHAT I CAN COUNT ON...
THAT GREAT CALMNESS ENTERS ME
CAUSING FEAR AND FRUSTRATION

GRACE AND PEACE
TRUE GRACE AND PEACE ARE ONLY FROM
OUR FATHER AND OUR LORD JESUS.
[WHEN GRACE AND PEACE HAVE TOUCHED OTHER HEARTS,
AND WE'VE STUCK TOGETHER WITH HIM,
GRACE AND PEACE HAVE STAYED IN OUR LIVES.

TODAY'S JOY...WORSHIP...PRAISE
Physically, I'm struggling today. Tiredness, dizziness, etc. Tomorrow I have to hit the road to Portland area... not far from here ... and a couple days after that I truly begin to hit my way home, but won't be there until next Sunday night, at the earliest, because I'll be stopping a couple places in eastern Oregon to teach a couple blog-friends about a particular form of spiritual warfare.
HOWEVER, I wrote this poem even before I came to the Lord. I was about 19 years old; wrote it in Seattle. How can I NOT share it today when I know my struggles are held in the Hand of my Dear Father Who loves me. Nothing/NOONE else counts.
Oh, and today's Word that struck me is Nehemiah 8:10, The joy of the Lord is my strength. And this poem has "joy" in it.
HIS HAND... HIS LOVE

He gave me His hand and led me
Across stream,
and River,
and Mountain.
He gave me His Spirit to draw me To the Wonderful
sin-cleansing
fountain.

He gave me His Grace and Compassion
His Joy, His Righteousness, too.

He gave me His Love and Mercy
And created a life wholly new.

He gave -- I received --
........Eternal Peace. He gave -- I received --
.............Love never to cease.
