GAVE INFO TO A FRIEND RE: MULTNOMAH FALLS

From about 4:45 until about 6:00, I was at a First Responders, which was in a portion of our town re: a murder boy who was 16, and several of us were there to pray for the family and friends.  Unusually, when we got there there were dozens and dozens of people.  I talked to a couple of them and one was a pastor for him and another was a teacher at the high school.  Many, many, many were crying and enjoyed us worshiping and praying for them and hugging and holding them.  Anyhow, now that I'm home I'm trying to put a bit on here.
WELL, I had a young friend/"son" drive me home and he'd been here in the Omaha area since he was a kid.  Through First Responders I'd become to know him in about 6 years.  So, since he'd been raised in this area for most of his life ... he's about 42 ...  just last summer he'd been flown to  Portland, Oregon, and he'd also been taken to Multnomah Falls and Mount Hood.  SO, I asked him to come into my house and I could show him some of the photos re: those that I'd been at.  He was here for a few minutes to go to his place, and I dropped a few so he'd smile.  He DID, and he wants to come some other time so he can see more and more of the Multnomah Falls and the Pacific Ocean and portions of Seattle and more of the Columbia River.  So, here's a few of those photos and I'll have to eat dinner and spent time with my husband.
So, this is what I've loved even when I was a kid back in the 1950s and several times until 2016.  Love the mountains, love the rivers, and the ocean, and Multnomah Falls, and have many family and friends there, even though I haven't lived there for about 47 years.  Show a bit of what I can.

MY BHUTANESE ARE WONDERFUL!

Six-and-a half years ago suddenly when the Lord told me to walk on a portion of our street area, and, at that time I thought I was to walk about a couple miles and worship and pray.  Well, when I was going, suddenly I met a couple people who were Bhutanese.  I hadn't known any of that at first.  WELL, it was a surprising and shocking opportunity to be a missionary here in our area.  I was used to do a lot of stuff for about five years.  They got strong jobs and lots of wonderful homes and lots of cars... so I couldn't be the one to go to the airport and help pick people us, etc.  And I'd been with dozens in the hospitals.  My husband has been a pianist at wedding or teaching a couple, and providing computers for many and reworking what they needed.  Anyhow, every Sunday I go to their church only about three blocks from my house, and, even though I don't understand their language, they are worshiping, and singing, and doing wonderful things.  So I'm given hugs and kisses from a bunch of them and I'm referred to as "Sister", "Mom", "Grandma", "Great-Grandma".  Always makes me SMILE!   Dave can't be there, because he's working at churches... piano or organ and fixing things... and he leaves home about 7 AM and gets home finally at about 4 PM.  But he's been much appreciated and loved.
Anyhow, I'll just show a few pictures.  I've had hundreds, but hope to make you all smile.  We LOVED being missionaries in Uganda for a few years, dropped into Costa Rica for a short time, in England, in Paris, and, as a me-thing, I was in Morocco for a few weeks.  We can't go anywhere else as a few years ago indicated by the Lord, because of his job situation.  SO, the Lord put us strongly into the Bhutanese to be helpful.  Love them and appreciate how the Lord did that.
The first time... Ram and Dawa ... and their son was the pastor. His youngest sister.

Nar, the pastors wife.  She's my girl!!

He's one of my grandsons.  Very sick consistently!

This was a wonderful time at another spiritual church here in town.

The church has become MUCH larger with many of them!

Love these guys!  Brothers and a Son!

Another of our favorites!!!

Wonderful wedding!!!  Dave and I loved this!!

Sure loved seeing this!!!  Many are my dear, dear friends.
=====================================================
Just wanted to let you know that I'm not sure if I can ever put anything on again.  My dementia has increased and my body and brain are a challenge.  I can worship the Lord, glorify, pray, praise, and honor.  I do that all day and all night.  I'm in bed for about 12 or 13 hours, but sleep some of the time, but wake up and focus on the Lord.  He's using me in unusual ways re: my dreams.  Anyhow, just want to let you know that, since it's been about 7-1/2 years on the blogging.  I can't read very often of all of you and I can't write much.  So, just want to let you know.  Thank you much.  Love many of you and appreciate you around and about re: serving the Lord with they you have shared your info.  Bless you!!

FRIEND FROM SOROTI!!

SOROTI'S ROCK!
On facebook for a couple weeks I was getting a request for friendship from a guy in Soroti.  Well, I didn't recognize his name or his picture of himself.  I sent side questions to determine it was someone I'd know.  Since I left there 12 years ago, and usually had piles of people around and about me, I wasn't sure.  And I usually don't just choose everyone as a friend on FB, b/c it's going to open too many and then I need to read too much, too often.
Well, a couple days ago, he finally described exactly how we had known each other.  When I was going into one of the restaurants that was downtown, not too far from where I was helping people, and sometimes I was so sorrowful and was crying.  He was an encouragement, and sometimes touched my arm and showed his kindness to me.  And, as far as I recall, he was in his teens.   When I had been ready to leave Soroti, he had given a picture of him and gave me an email address. When I was home, I emailed him, and I never heard anything.  So, I lost him.  Never thought I'd see him again.
Now we are friends on FB, and he has given me more information re: how he knew me and how it was nice to see me way back then.  I accepted the friendship on FB.  I had to smile when I looked at all the people on his group.  I'm the only white colorful person and the others are obviously in Uganda.  A couple others just don't show their faces.
Anyhow, just wanted to share this with all of you, b/c this was a real suddenly gifted piece.

JUMPING TANDEM RETREAT..LAST WEEKEND

[I took this photo of Deidra 2 years ago, and couldn't this time, but she was a blessing then and was a blessing now.]

Deidra Riggs, Leader

The retreat two years ago was a huge blessing and I wanted to do it again this time.  AND it's not far from my home, so I couldn't NOT go!!!  Well,  I got there very early last Friday... about 10:45 AM when the officially portion was at 4 PM.  But quite a number were there after noon and I was blessed to see some of them I'd known before when I was at the same Retreat 2 years ago.  It was a huge blessing to see so many.
During the afternoon and evening there were ways to connect and spend time with and worship through some of them.  I saw many a few times, even during a worshiping time, and that was wonderful.  However, when it was nearly dark, the Lord told me to start walking outside and around and about and pray and worship.  I was told to be on a pathway that went up and down some of the side hills below our huge "house".  It was solidly on the top of the hills that would drop down to a stream.
Since I have sometimes used 2 canes to use to walk around my home area, I certainly decided to use them then.  Walking on the paths, avoiding falling down the hill areas and crashing, was a pretty strong thing to do.  Well, I did it that evening and was out there going around and about any time and the Lord was telling me to turn certain ways, up and down a bit.
That night I couldn't take pictures of the deers that were running across the grasses and up through the tree area across from me. And, as much as I LOVE birds, I couldn't do that either.  I couldn't take too many pictures, anyhow, because I was using my 2 canes and couldn't just set them aside easily and quickly.  Well, I took pictures of the moon that popped up not long after I was walking.  So this is it.

BTW, the next day, late in the morning, He had me do it again, but go further down to the stream and get across it on a wood piece.  Ended up on other tops of hill path areas.  Since there had been lots of rain that night, the canes and my tennis shoes and my jeans were muddy.  I saw much and did much, and stumbled a couple times when going up and down and the mud causing the dirt to be slippy.  I'm a grateful God-jobber and lover and worker.  I got back.  And, again, I couldn't take pictures, because I could fall.  When I got back, I told a couple of my friends that if I had fallen out in that area, it would have been quite a while until I was found under trees, under the stream, or a long way off the side of the paths.  I'm a very grateful God kid.  He always gave me the strength and insight that I needed.
When in the portions where people were teaching and sharing the Word and encouraging, I smiled, but rarely took photos.  However, I'll end this with the pictures of some of the ones I was with.  Two years ago, I was driving around and about from our airport on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Sometimes when driving so often I didn't have time to be mixed with them during the retreat much, unless they were in my car/van.  When I reached that time, I needed to rest.  This time no one needed me to pick up or take back.  I'm a bit disappointed re: that, because I had loved doing the driving.  BUT the Lord, instead of driving used me to do the walking in a variety of times and places at that location area.  So, I still didn't spend enough time with everyone as I'd have loved to.  However, have a few pictures of them and me together.  That was a blessing.

Then, one photo I took was of Sandra and her husband, without me.  Two years ago, I picked her up at the airport and spent a wonderful time with her.  This time her husband drove her out from Michigan   He stayed in Lincoln, about 25 miles from where we were, and popped in to see her part of the days.  I was so happy to see him and meet him.

 ===============================================
Anyhow, this is done.  And, since my dementia is increasing, day by day, my wording, writing, thinking is a huge challenge now, so I don't know when I can ever write anything again.  I struggled with much of this, with some of the words and some of the locations.  Some of them aren't exactly what I wanted to say..sometimes came up with words that are reasonable.  Much is not perfect.
Bless you all and many of you are love and missed and, as I often say, the Lord can put us together in heaven and we can do one of His jobs up there.  That's what I count on.  I'm looking forward to dancing, rejoicing, worshiping Him and His dear ones, and, on the side, hugging hundreds and thousands of people to show appreciation and love -- my family and friends and some of the main prophetic people historically, because I've read much of their pieces for years now and I really love them.  All I can count on is HIM, though.

SPIRITUAL MAPPING/HISTORYING

This was a ministry that was dropped into my life about 15 years ago, and accepted by some and thoroughly disliked by some others.  All I can truly say is that the Lord laid it on me.  Spiritual mapping is studying the history of areas where other gods were worshiped, were sacrificed to, and even recently people continued to carry it on.  I have hundreds of files in my file cabinets.  Both locally, nationally, and internationally.  I have to trust Him for the consequences.  The wonderful consequences are becoming a teacher and sharer AND meeting some pastors and spiritual friends who have remained in my life.

When I drove up to northern Minnesota on September 8th to visit my dear friend/"sister", Susan Jones, I rested at her house for about 3 days, because I was exhausted after helping to the delivery of one of my Bhutanese babies.  Had not had enough sleep for 4 days, and then hit the road.

On  Saturday the13th, I drove north to Baudette, MN, right on the
Canada border to see some very dear friends/pastors, Dave and Mary ("Ducky") Gens.  Dave is a wonderful guitarist and singer and music writer and sharing it around and about.  For a stretch of time a few years ago, he rode his bike, keeping his guitar and his clothes, and his sleeping bag.  He rode hundreds of miles around and about, in Minnesota, and sharing the Lord through his words and his music, sometimes just being in a park by the roads.  I met him nearly 10 years ago, and he was still doing that and he'll be 65 in December.

And, while he was gone, his wife was the speaker and teacher and
minister.  They've both done helping with and for each other and the people in their town.  I've been very impressed when there and was able to explain some of the spiritual issues and MY Dave came up and they so enjoyed him that a few years ago they asked us to move up there and they'd get us involved both in churches and helping through apartments in that area.  We wanted to be there and a number of other places in northern MN, but the Lord kept us here in Omaha, and we can do much in either place, while serving the Lord.  That's what counts.

After with them for a few hours, I drove back down to Susan's, and that was about 130 miles.  The next day, I drove to another town, Crookston, about 60 miles north from Susan's area, and one of my dear friends, Stacey,  was for me to be with her.  What a treat she was.  She drove us around and about, looking at the significant spiritual challenges, both locally and historically, many we'd talked about before and looked at a few years ago.  She also reminded me that Dave and I had given quite a number of computers to people from other nations in the '06 stretch of time.  And, when I asked about a Sudanese fellow who I met when he was on a bike and cold much of the time during that stretch of Fall, I remembered visiting with him in a fast food place with her back then.  Well, she said the blessing I was then was that I bought him bus tickets for a stretch of time and he could adjust and arrange from his new job.  Wow!  I didn't remember that.

I had connected with her in '05, and went up to teach her about spiritual mapping through the ministry/company I was involved with.  Well, when teaching, other pastors in the local area were where I pulled in.  It was a pizza place and the 10-ish of us ate and I shared.  One of the pastors, Craig and Sonja, who had been living in a town about 40 miles south, became my friends, too.  They had been in YWAM for several years, heard of this ministry there-- a special time in Jamaica, for instance-- and were very positive about this.  They encouraged Stacey to be with me then.  When I see her, we rejoice together.  She's only a little older than my daughter, so I consider her a daughter, not just a friend.

When leaving her place, I drove south to see Craig and Sonja, and
reached there just about dinner time and shared with them too long about what I was going through.  So enjoyed that time.  They put up with my yammering and prayed over me as I was heading out.  It was about 9:15 and dark and I needed to drive back north a bit to stay on main roads instead of being on the side roads through the farms and smaller towns from their place to Susan's, because deer and skunks and lots of other danger could be on the roads  So I drove miles further, to stay on the main highways; it was so much safer.

When I reached Susan's it was about 10:30.  I was a tired cookie.  And it took a couple days to restore. It was a huge blessing of being with these people who always thought of me as a good teaching, a good preaching, a good sharing person.  Can't not rejoice.

The main wonderfulness of this trip to northern Minnesota, gone for 11 days, was to see MANY dear friends, again.  Not just these, but a significant number of others.  Love so many!!  And am loved by many.  What a blessing.

A BLESSED DAY!!!

I'm a "cloudy" rejoicing person.  BIG TIME!
And rejoicing about other things, too!

Clouds, or no clouds, I've had one of the nicest days in a long stretch of time.  And filled with rejoicing, over and over again.

I was able to get in touch with a friend in Omaha who was part of a very serious friendship necessity.  We were put together about 10 years ago by a pastor's wife in a local church where Dave and I attended for a few years.  Something serious was occurring at a Christian Jr. Hi/Hi School area back then, around the NW portion of Omaha.   It dealt with some of the serious spiritual "underground" issues [we call spiritual mapping], and I was/am a worker for that "battle" info to spread/share it around and have it broken down.  Kara and I became very good friends, when introduced, but in a few years, she was very stressful as family parents were very sick and died and she was in charge of it all.  Other situations just piled on her seriously.  We talked for 50 minutes this morning on the phone, the first time in about 2 years, and she truly wants to get together whenever she can have the time. Hopefully, in the next couple weeks, we'll make it and can rejoice together.

THEN, shortly after, I heard someone hollering for me on my

porch.  When I went, I was overwhelmed again, b/c Hanna Farwell had shown up to drop something off for Dave re: how he's putting computers together for them and planning to take the computers to their house in northern KS, about 3 hours south of us now.  They used to be about 5 minutes from us.  AND we were spiritual warfighting people, significantly.  We connected about 6 years ago.  Anyhow, with the family in town for the day in another place, she drove over and showed her baby -- baby number 13 -- and I held him.  She blessed me and prayed for me for my health before she left about 1/2 hour later.  [AND I don't look good, b/c the wind was
wrapping my hair around and about, but sure enjoyed holding the little, little boy!!]

THEN Dave and I went to lunch with one of our Bhutanese families... Sarmila, Ranjit, and their baby Sophia. [Photos just fit into my time with them at their church.  Dave couldn't be there very often, because he works at other churches, plays piano/organ for worship.] They have been our son and daughter and granddaughter since they've been here.  God also used me to help at the local hospital to be involved in the delivery of this granddaughter.  She'll be 2 years old in December.  She's a constant treat for
Dave and I when we can get together.  She's been told so many times that we are her grandparents and that she should smile and kiss us.  She's doing it more often, not always running away.

Got home just a short time ago, and could NOT tell you what a blessed day it has been.  And Kara and Hanna and Ranjit are planning to get the book.  YIPPEE!  [And Kara
wants more photos of the book and more of the info... so I'll be emailing that stuff to her today.]

This truly has been an amazing day!!!   And I'm heading for church this evening, because Dave is playing piano during the worship time and I always love to hear him -- AND I'm a worshiper!!!  And one of my church friends asked me on fb whether I would be there tonight or tomorrow [probably both] to sign the book that she has already received.  WOW!!!  Adds to the amazement, doncha think?

I'm filled with so many blessings now!!  In my heart, soul, and spirit... and lifting many to the Lord for healing, for joyfulness.   It's another HALLELUJAH!!! day.

ISAIAH 54... THE BIG TENTS

OUTSIDE VIEW; 2 INSIDE

“Enlarge the place of your tent,
    stretch your tent curtains wide,  do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
    strengthen your stakes.
For you will spread out to the right and to the left;...

OUTSIDE VIEW; FILLS HUNDREDS INSIDE

The Lord laid this on me many months ago to share with you.    And now I am.  It has been part of my life for many, many years.  Isaiah 54 is one of my most important chapters, and I have read it many, many times, and it is underlined nearly entirely.

Here's the reason.  Now, you saw a small tent that is for a camping situation for my husband and I.  That is it.

THEN, when in Soroti, the car pulling up to the tent  that is shown above, so Jill and I could be introduced to them, and they would know we were coming a few times to interview regarding their abduction by the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army], and a rather bland outside photo was taken.  But walking in was pretty overwhelming.  HUNDREDS of kids were in there.  Here's one of those photos.

So, big tent.  This has been my life.

As a younger lady, I thought I'd have a pile of kids and raise them.  That was all I thought of.  Well, my body refused to have more than two.  I raised them.  And then I learned a little more of the Word connected to most of us.

Years ago, through teaching, writing plays and VBS, my world of kids expanded.  Then involved with those who had difficult issues in their own homes.  I've become a helper, a hugger.

A son, daughter, granddaughter, but love many more, too.
Then, as my kids had grown up, the door to Uganda opened wide.  I now have children, grandchildren, sons, daughters, and dear adult friends in Uganda.  Needed a bigger tent.  Been spreading it around, adding the cords, strengthening the stakes.

TAMANG FAMILY

Three-and-a-half years ago, while walking up the street when the Lord told me to take the walk, He dropped in two people nearby.  I immediately discovered they were Bhutanese Christians, having been part of a local church nearby,  the fellowship hall is their own service.

I started with two. [Ram and Dawa]. Now, I have hundreds.  And they love me, think I'm special, precious.  Even if I'm cranky, they laugh and say, "Oh, Grandma, you are so funny."  If they don't speak English, they just chuckle and, sometimes, hug me if they see I seem stressed.  My husband is greatly loved by them, too.

So, our "tent" has expanded and expanded and expanded.  And the Lord has given piles of protection, piles of joy, piles of new loverly wonderful family.  We've been able to encourage, teach, and love.

If my/our tent expands and extends, that would be a good God thing.  My husband is a perfect tent fixer, too.  In a truly practical way.  He can rebuild, extend, fix, add very practically.  I am more of a grabber, runner, fixer-upper helper.  Dave is practical; I'm a knee-jerker.

Now, after all these months, I have finally posted what the Lord had been laying on me for so long.  Again, as I said, the whole chapter is filled with personal info re: my future in this world.  And, in preparation for my time in eternity, I hope I will see that even more of my tents were expanded through many family and friend situations during this past 47-1/2 years since I entered the Lord's "tent".

HIS tents are GOOD!!!  Filled through GOD!!
