ON OUR WAY HOME FROM UGANDA IN '95
WE WERE IN ENGLAND WITH A FRIEND,
AND WE WERE TAKEN
INTO LONDON FOR THIS AMAZING EVENT.
IT WAS IN EARLY MAY, 1995, THAT THE HUGE PARTY
WAS TAKING PLACE.
50 YEARS AT THE END OF WWII.
MANY PEOPLE FROM MANY NATIONS WERE AT THE PARK,
AND DANCING AND REJOICING TOOK PLACE.
AND THIS WAS A REJOICING PIECE, TOO...

My Mom and Dad were in Normandie for the celebration there. Dad is a D-Day survivor.
My husband and I went with them for the 55th anniversary in 1999 - an unforgettable experience.
How cool you guys got to see that! "Bless the peace keepers for they will have peace..."
