NO IDOLATRY

WHEN WE GROW, FROM CHILDHOOD TO ADULTHOOD,
"IDOLATRY" CAN RUN INTO OUR LIFE.
IT CAN BE PEOPLE, CARS, TRAVEL, MONEY, PETS,
 SUCCESSFUL JOBS, OR JEWELRY,
TV OR MOVIE OR MUSIC STARS...

OR ANYTHING THAT SLIDES ABOVE OUR COMMITMENT AND OUR SERVICE AND OUR LOVE TO THE LORD.

ST. JOHN, AS HE WAS FINISHING HIS LETTER TO THE CHRISTIANS,
AFTER TEACHING VERY CAREFULLY, VERY THOROUGHLY,
AND CLOSED WITH THIS VERSE, HE KNEW/SAW MUCH.
IT'S POSSIBLY TRULY MAKING HIS EYES AND HEART OVERWHELMED WHEN SEEING FROM HEAVEN OUR PRESENT-DAY WORLD.

Amen! Even our fear of this world instead of reverence to our Father's sovereignty is a form of idolatry. Thanks for the reminder, Joanne.

Yes, indeed! Idolatry is an insidious trap - so often we don't even know we've fallen into it. Nothing must ever take precedence over the Lord in our lives.

GOD BLESS!

Thank you, CaryJo ... this is a gentle reminder that we need to keep front and center.

Bless you, my friend, as you continue through this beautiful week!
