MY JOY-FILLED FATHER

The Word says that
Joy comes in the morning

— However —

Joy also comes in mourning

...mourning over my sin —
my habitual misbehavior—

...mourning when I love myself
- instantaneously -
before showing love for others
or
for my Heavenly Father.

...mourning because He told me clearly
He’ll redeem the lives of ones I love ...
and my impatience often prevails...
forgetting that He is the
Author of Time --
and
I am not!

But
when I repent, reverse my heart,
remit my expectations,
rejoice in my salvation through His Son,
The joy
— quiet, tingly —
— over-the-top exploding —
moves me onward
and eventually
upward.

And
true joy invades my heart
knowing that
my dear Heavenly Father,
amazingly,
finds His joy
in me--
even
ME !!

Great thoughts! I really like this:

"— quiet, tingly —
— over-the-top exploding —
moves me onward
and eventually
upward."

I have had that experience before and it's awesome! :)

Amen! I am constantly amazed at how no matter what I do or say or think or AM, He finds me to be his most prized possession.

I loved this part of your poem best, "my dear Heavenly Father,
amazingly,
finds His joy
in me--
even ME !!"

It's so easy to think it's everybody else except me. Sorry I've not had a chance to write you back yet; lots on my mind.

Caryjo -- I read your story below about your parents finding God and your reuniting with your father. Very moving -- thank you for being brave enough to share it here!
