EVERY TIME I HEAR HIS NAME
Chorus:
Every time I hear His name I love Him more.
Every time I hear His name, I worship and adore Him.
For He gave true life to me,
And through all eternity
Every time I hear His name, I’ll love Him more.
Verse 1:
Oh, He is my dearest Friend,
He came to me.
He saved my soul from sin --
He set me free.
He hears me when I pray,
He guides my steps each day,
So, every time I hear His name, I love Him more.
Chorus:
Verse 2:
Oh, He’ll be your dearest Friend,
He’ll come to you.
He will save you from your sin,
He’ll see you through.
He’ll listen when you pray,
You can trust – He’ll guide your way.
And every time you hear His name
you’ll love Him more.
Chorus.

I wrote this song more than 30 years ago. It's not too fancy, too special. But even after all these years, when I'm worshiping or struggling, the words and melody will start floating through my spirit. It's nice to have a chance to share it. -- CJ

this is good
I'll be waiting to hear the melody ...
Such wonderful words--so true!
I'm with Susan...I would like to hear the music...didn't know you were a songwriter.
"He set me free" indeed.
Actually, had written a few songs in the late '70s, early '80s. Then, when I married Dave in '85, he, a musician, wrote more songs and I did, too. Some together. Dave put a CD together a couple years ago. However, with today's over-the-top competition, we just don't go that direction. If you look at one of my first posts...Jan. 23, City of Refuge, that's a poem I wrote and then a "song" that came along. Thanks for the encouragement. Maybe some time we can share...
I'd like to hear it with music, too!
