  2. I am reading Faber's words at right, and thinking how true:

    "'Tis not all we owe to Jesus;
    It is something more than all."

    Such blessing, such grace, beyond measure!

  10. Yes. He set me high upon that Rock. After years of trying to climb it myself,and falling and giving up, He set me there, in Christ, and I will exalt Him with you today.

  11. For those days...like today.... when things seem to. be ever shifting, moving, and changing your pic and words reassure me. They remind me that I don't have to be the rock for all to lean on. The Lord is the rock for us all to lean on. Thanks for posting. :)

  15. I immediately thought of the chorus (refrain)of this hymn---one of many songs sung in evening church services at my dad's churches. I started singing the chorus. But I had to look up the lyrics for the verses.

    The title is (I think) "On Solid Rock."

    Wonderful illustration and verse, jo! I can't imagine living without the rock of Jesus Christ!

    Lyrics
    My hope is built on nothing less
    Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
    I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
    But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

    Refrain:
    On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
    All other ground is sinking sand,
    All other ground is sinking sand.

    When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace;
    In every high and stormy gale,
    My anchor holds within the veil.
    Refrain

    His oath, His covenant, His blood
    Support me in the whelming flood;
    When all around my soul gives way,
    He then is all my hope and stay.
    Refrain

    When He shall come with trumpet sound,
    Oh, may I then in Him be found;
    Dressed in His righteousness alone,
    Faultless to stand before the throne.
